The project aims at rehabilitating and improving the Maputo International Airport airside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons and airfield ground lighting. The investment is financed by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The credit facility agreements of AFD and EIB were signed with the Government of Mozambique in March and July 2014, respectively. The works have already been completed.
The EU-AITF TA grant financed the consulting services for the design and supervision of the Maputo International Airport airside infrastructure rehabilitation works.
